our founder

Founder Thomas C. Thompson was a successful and recognized leader in the medical device industry. With his roots in electronic engineering, Tommy was responsible for major development programs in microprocessor-based instrumentation and sterile, disposable medical devices. Tommy received his B.S.E.E. from the University of Texas and held 16 patents. Prior to Tommy passing away in November 2014, he made countless contributions to the Medical Device Industry as a whole, and his work is the strong foundation of InterX Technologies.

 

Prior to founding the company, Tommy co-founded two other companies that manufactured products for intravenous drug delivery, cardiovascular surgery, and implantable neurostimulation. He served as President and for Baxter Healthcare and Quest Medical Inc (which became Advanced Neuromodulation Systems - purchased by St. Jude Medical and currently operating as a subsidiary of Abbott)  of which he was also a founder. Tommy was also co-founder of the Medical Device Manufacturing Association.

Today, the company carries on Tommy's vision of making InterX Technology accessible to those who need it most.
