Opioid patient data

In the face of the opioid crisis, InterX non-invasive interactive neuromostimulation (NIN) provides a safe, pain free, and effective alternative to opioid prescriptions for severe chronic pain patients.

The InterX cases highlighted below include some of the most severe chronic pain conditions a person can face including RSD (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy) also known as CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome). According to the McGill Pain Index, CRPS is one of the most painful conditions that exists and is dubbed the “suicide disease."

Prior to InterX, many of these patients tried everything from spinal cord stimulators to nerve blocks without relief. Each one was taking multiple opioid prescriptions and still had pain levels of 5 to 10 out of 10. With InterX treatment, these patients experienced significant relief from severe chronic pain and eliminated their opioid prescription use.

Patient details include self reported pain levels and medication levels before and after InterX treatment as well as the number of visits.

While published medical research shows InterX noninvasive interactive neurostimulation (NIN) devices reducing opioid prescriptions, InterX Therapy Center (founded in 2007 as the InterX research and training center) is seeing a trend of complete elimination of prescription opioid use among chronic pain patients. The data above is from eleven of the most severe chronic pain patients treated at the InterX Therapy Center. Each patient self-reported 100% elimination of opioids after an average of 14.3 treatments (4-5 weeks).

Patients stay opioid free after treatment (for up to 13 years). The patient’s VAS Pain score decreased from a pre-treatment average of 7 to 8 (with opioids) to a post-InterX treatment average of 0 to 2 (without opioids). In addition to pain relief, InterX patients and InterX professionals report a reduction of symptoms of opioid withdrawal.
